Christmas Eve Eve

Nana arrived yesterday and has made it possible for us to do some shopping, prepping and even a dinner out.

 She even helped the kids create a zoo.

And she brought awesome Christmas gifts.  Some we opened early, like these pink boots for Serafina.

Here they are relaxing after a trip to the park.  Serafina is watching her favorite show, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (original Chuck Jones/Dr. Seuss version) and Leo is playing Angry Birds.

After dinner, she joined us for a trip around the neighborhood to see some Christmas lights.  We visited a house that had some over-the-top decorations.

Guess who else was hanging out at that house?  Leo told him he wants some secrets and surprises.

Despite Serafina's claims that she wanted to go see Santa and sit on Santa, she wouldn't get near him.  Except when he offered her a candy cane; she was willing to reach out and take it and even said "thank you".
