Exploratorium

Today we joined my friend Lizzy and her three girls on a trip into San Francisco to visit the Exploratorium.  We took the train into the city which was an adventure all on its own with a toddler.

Here's Leo looking like a typical commuter.

Lane, Serafina and Emma on the train.

It's a little over two miles to get to the Exploratorium from the train station.  We considered taking the light rail, but that would have meant getting all seven of us and a stroller on yet another public transportation system.  We decided to just hoof it with a lunch break on the way.

Almost the whole walk is along the Embarcadero

Leo took a turn pushing the stroller.
The Exploratorium is big and a bit overwhelming.  It was a bit crowded in places too.  All the exhibits are hands-on, interactive stations that only one or two people can engage in at a time.  They were all very cool but it was hard to keep track of all the kids as they attempted to experience everything.

Lizzy and Leo trying out one of the exhibit machine.

 Sweet Halle.
 Leo likes to entertain Halle.
Serafina and Emma outside with the Bay Bridge behind them.
One final picture in the Exploratorium in front of the inflatable person.
The walk back to the train was long and tiring.  The train ride was also long and tiring.  We were all pretty wiped out when we got home but it was worth it for a fun day in the city with friends.
