In the days in between her receiving the box and taking it back to school, she would take the box and form into the living room and practice presenting. It was pretty cute.
I stopped by the classroom when it was "All About Me" time to take some pictures and video. Here's the video. Since I was snapping pictures with my other hand, it gets a little wobbly at times. It's also long (over two minutes) so be warned.
Mrs. Mouritsen does a wonderful job of making each kid feel special and teaching the other kids to be good listeners.
Serafina had put lots of toys in the box, including this pony. She demonstrated how to play with it.
Here's a shorter video of Serafina sharing the baby pictures she included in the box.
After school, we went to the airport to pick up Nana. At pick-up time, we walked to school to get Leo. Serafina said she wanted to wear a vest, but half way there, she complained her arms were cold and she wanted a jacket. She pitched a huge fit and Nana solved the problem by zipping her arms in the vest.
Sort of resembles a straight-jacket, doesn't it?
We had to replace Leo's glasses frames again. They had snapped in half while I was at my board meeting the night before. Funny how that always happens when I'm not home. The kids behaved themselves reasonably well during that process so they got some ice cream.
On Saturday, Serafina also got a new scooter. But wait... it's not a birthday or even Christmas yet. Why does she get a new scooter? Well, she had been using a hand-me-down one that was in serious disrepair and it finally broke completely. The scooter is our primary mode of transportation to and from school. She's not quite good enough on the big girl bike to manage the trip. So the scooter is a necessity, like shoes or air.
