My mom turned 60 on Thursday and to celebrate, we traveled down to Seal Beach to spend time with her and my extended family. It was our first time traveling as a family of four and Serafina's first plane trip (by this age, Leo had been to Denver, Seal Beach and New York). Everything went smoothly and Leo had an absolute blast at every turn. He even got to share a hotel room with Nana, which worked out really well. There was something wonderful about kissing him good night, closing the joining door between the rooms and having him be someone else's problem for 10 or so hours.
We arrived late Thursday night and Friday was a beautiful day. Tom and Leo got to check out the ocean up close.

Grandpa Skip came to visit us at the playground.

Auntie Shelia had hilarious books and fun toys and delicious food. Thanks for such a great time!

Serafina tried out the high chair.

Leo did some golfing with Auntie Mary Ellen.

My dear friend Tracy came to visit with her new baby girl, Maya. Nana was happy to give her a bottle since my kid won't take one.

Tracy gets a taste of the fat baby future.

Little friends.
