T-Ball, egg coloring and new camera

I got a new camera. It arrived last night and I'm not too familiar with how to use it yet, but I tried it out today.  I took it to the T-Ball game.  Leo was happy to give a smile for the new camera.

The batting practice we did yesterday payed off because he did a great job each time he was up to bat.

Playing out in the field is still a tricky concept for most of the kids.  They have a hard time paying attention and knowing what to do when the ball is hit.  They especially have trouble working together as a team.  For example, here's a picture of a kid taking a ground ball out of Leo's mitt so he can throw it to first himself.

It didn't dampen Leo's spirit.  He was ready for another ball.

And he got one!  He threw it to first.

Before the game ended, Serafina and I headed to the airport to get Nana.  In the afternoon, we had our customary egg dying session.

Leo had fun.

Serafina had fun too and there wasn't a huge mess.  Just a couple of colorful fingers.

5th Annual Egg Hunt

It's hard to believe we've held this egg hunt so many times, but we have.  Leo had the day off for Good Friday and the kids were excited about the egg hunt all day.  Here they are in their pajamas and bunny ears this morning.

Look at these cute animal-shaped eggs.  They came pre-filled with some disgusting looking jelly beans, but I didn't care because they were so darn adorable.

After an errand and some lunch, it was finally time to go to the park.  We went a little early so Leo could practice Tball a bit.

But then we hit the playground and our friends came shortly after that.

You know who else is cute?  This kid.  Max is adorable.

A couple moms tossed the eggs in the grass and then the kids lined up.  We stuck Paige on the end even though she was asleep in the stroller.  We like to document it when we get all the kids together.  There are a lot of kids.

We let the little kids get a head start.  The big kids were really good about it.

Serafina was not good at egg hunting.  She had trouble finding them even though most of them were in plain sight.  When she did spot eggs, she only wanted to pick up the pink and purple ones.  Sigh.  She ended up with only two eggs.  Then she gave Riley a hard time for popping open her eggs immediately and chowing down.

The kids examined their loot at the table.  Leo was a good big brother and shared a few of her eggs.

Then it was time for more playing at the park.  

Preschool Easter Party

Today I worked at preschool and the kids celebrated Easter.  

Serafina started the day doing some puzzles with Natalie.  

I helped the kids make their bunny bags.  Last week during my work day, I helped the kids plant wheat grass.  I had the same job two years ago when I worked in Leo's classroom.  We all brought our wheat grass back to school and used it in the bags.  They were very cute.

Then we headed out for the egg hunt.

Each kid was suppose to find two eggs.  Serafina struggled a little with hunting eggs, but in the end she got two in her favorite colors.  One of them had Yo Gabba Gabba tattoos in it, which was very exciting.

When they came back from recess, I made them all put their hats back on for a group picture.  After two years as yearbook mom, I feel for the gal doing it this year and want to give her some good pictures to work with.

I tried to get one finally bunny hat picture of Serafina, preferably with a smile.  She's not easy to get to smile on cue.

After school and T-ball practice, we headed to Raynor park for our annual Dessert in the Park night.

My kids were fans of the Oreo pops.  There was a lot of sugar consumed, which I no longer try to fight.  When we got in the car to go home, Leo told me he had a stomach ache.  Not a big surprise.  He was fine by the time he went to bed.

Sassy haircut

 Getting Serafina's hair cut isn't a pleasant experience, but when it gets too long, it's difficult to manage and looks straggly.

You can tell by the look on her face, she isn't a willing participant.

The lady gave her a lollipop during the haircut to keep her happy; you can see the stick poking out from  under her hair.

She was happy when it was over.

 It's shorter than I'm use to, but I like it and it will grow out before we know it.
