Mystic, CT

Have you ever seen the 80's movie Mystic Pizza, starring Julia Roberts, Lily Taylor and Annabeth Gish?  (Whatever happened to Annabeth Gish?)  The girls work at a pizza joint called, Mystic Pizza in Mystic, Connecticut.  Well, it's a real place in a real town and we know because we went there.

It was our stop on our way from New York to Boston.  Inside the restaurant there is quite a tribute to the film and the movie plays on a continuous loop.

We just had a slice of pizza at the counter and it wasn't the greatest pizza, but that wasn't the point.  We were there so I could geek out about an awesome 80's movie.  Of course, the library from The Breakfast Club would be a more epic tourist spot, but it wouldn't be as scenic.   

Check out the beautiful seaport.  

It was a very nice place to stop.
