Halloween Night 2018

Halloween is my favorite, but it's a long day filled with lots of activities and work.  After all the school madness and changing into and out of costumes, going to my friend Aida's house for Halloween night is the perfect way to end the day.  We eat and drink and have the best time.

We had the kids do some backyard picture.  Here's Emma, Serafina, Millie, Lane and Sunny.

A shot that includes little Halle!  Those are rare.
All these girls worked their poses for these picture.
Leo was the only boy willing to jump into the pictures.
He didn't want Halle to be scared of his mask so he made sure she checked it out.

Mom picture.  Me, Kristi, Mary, Aida and Lizzy.  This was right before we started grabbing each other's boobs to make each other laugh and make terrible faces for the pictures.  It's a tradition passed on from my mom and aunties.
Sunny's cousin Sadie was dressed as a cute unicorn.  She's Serafina's teacher's daughter.  The girls took care of her trick-or-treating.

There were a whole bunch of Pink Ladies, included two of the moms.  I was worried that Serafina would feel left out since she wasn't part of the Pink Lady crew (we weren't even given the opportunity to jump in on this group costume).  She told me she prefers to do her own thing and doesn't want to dress up the same as anyone else.  That made me immensely happy.
 Huge group of trick-or-treaters.
 Sadie wasn't scared of Leo.
So grateful for these fearless adults that are willing to take all those crazy kids around the neighborhood.  I'm am part of the "hang out on the lawn and drink and chat and oooh over the little kids" crew.  We didn't even have to pass out candy because Sidney, Kristi's 13 year old, was in charge of that part.  Aida's house is right on the busiest Halloween corner in the neighborhood.  It's really fun.
Leo's buddy Jack's grandma lives directly across from Aida's house.  They have a huge scene happening on their yard too.  Leo got to see (sort of) his friends Jack and Elouan.
A major dino fight went down and Leo thought it was hilarious.

After two houses, Leo realized he really didn't like wearing his mask.  We ran into the house and figured out a quick way to make him creepy with his sister's make-up.  I feel like this is a valuable lesson in case he wants to do a mask for future costumes.
Post trick-or-treating candy sorting chaos.

So much loot!
 Some serious swapping going down.
It was so fun but so exhausting.
