Snowy weekend

We took our second trip to Tahoe this past weekend.  It was snowing when we arrived and in the morning, our driveway had a nice blanket of snow.

It's an El Nino year, so that means lots of snow and rain in California.  Though the snow is great for skiing, it makes the mountain crowded.  There is tons of traffic and long lines any where we go.

Here we are arriving at Squaw on Saturday after sitting in a long line of traffic.
Sunday was equally snowy and here's a shot of our backyard.
For a point of reference, here's the same backyard last year.

The snow was so deep and fluffy, it wasn't easy to use the snow saucers.  The kids tried anyway.
Before we left, Tom and the kids made this masterpiece.
Pretty pink sun on the way home.

From skiing the slopes to swimming laps - just 24 hours apart.
