Leo turned in his homework assignment earlier this week. He created a "Me Box" with decorations on the outside and three meaningful items on the inside. They've been sharing them all week, but today Leo had his turn and his teacher made sure he presented it while I was there.
He's not rocking out in that rocking chair. Apparently, this hand gesture is a cue for the class to be quiet.
He was very comfortable in front of the class and spoke confidently about the pictures on the outside of the box. Many of them were the same photos that Serafina's Family Photo Page.
When he first brought home the project, he was interested in putting toys in the box. The instructions indicated he was supposed to chose items that represented what was important to him, so Tom and I encouraged him to dig a little deeper. He ended up choosing his baseball trophy, his ski goggles and a picture of his cats.
Here are a couple videos.
