Friday night, my dear friend Tracy arrived in town. Saturday morning we launched into a vegan eating marathon. First up was a vegan cupcake taste test.
A couple doors down was our next vegan food stop. I've visited before and we enjoyed the food. These tacos were particularly good.
Selfie across the street from the restaurant.
Later that night we visited an ice cream sandwich shop that had vegan cookies and vegan ice cream. It was delicious.
The vegan food tour continued on Sunday with a trip to Oakland for brunch at Hella Vegan Kitchen. Leo joined us while Serafina hung back with Nana.
We had to wait a while for our food, but we got a donut appetizer.
The dining area was outside and pretty funky.
Vegan chicken and waffles, tater tots and tofu scramble with biscuits and gravy.
Final pic on the way out.
Then it was off to the Oakland cemetery for some walking and views of the bay.
We got some pretty good views.
Her flight wasn't until the afternoon so we squeezed in a bit more vegan indulging. We had a mid-morning snack at Psycho Donuts. Nana and the kids had to wait to dig in until Tracy got her perfect food pic.
And lunch at our very favorite vegan place right here in Sunnyvale.
We had a great time despite gaining about seven pounds each in two days.
If you were wondering where Tom was during all our vegan fun, he was off in Tahoe having fun adventures of his own with our friend Bobby and his dog.
