Baseball season begins

Baseball season has started and both kids are playing this year.  Leo is staying in the same division as last year and has the same coach.  His first practice was last night.

Today Tom stopped by swim lessons to see how the kids are doing.  He hasn't been to swim before he was impressed by the facilities and how well the kids are doing.  Leo has started learning breast stroke and butterfly.

After swim and showers, we headed to Serafina's baseball team meeting.  The kids didn't actually have a practice.  The coach just went over what to expect for the season and handed out uniforms.  Here she is rocking her Cubs hat.

She'll be playing T-ball this year on the same field Leo played two years ago.  It is going to be a busy season.  Both kids will continue to swim, Serafina has dance and they both have baseball practices during the week.  Each Saturday we'll have two baseball games at two different parks.  Sometimes the games will be back-to-back and other days they will overlap.  Unfortunately, Serafina's baseball practice doesn't start until 6pm on Tuesday nights.  That is so late for little people and especially after a long day of school and swim.  I don't think we'll be staying the full hour most nights.  I'm pretty sure her game play won't suffer.

Even tonight with Tom around to help me things were hectic and exhausting.  We went the easy route for dinner and hit up a burger joint.  Leo ate his whole burger, all his fries, his sister's fries, a few onion rings and part of a milkshake.
