My dear friend Lina is moving back to Australia. She's been in the states for a decade and she's ready to go back and be closer to her family. Though we completely understand her reasons, we aren't too happy about her leaving. We've had lots of fun times and she's one of the nicest people you could ever meet. She always busting out quirky Australian terms and she gives amazing text message pep talks.
She moves in just 10 days, but we made sure to get a day with her before she leaves. We made a brunch reservation in Santa Cruz and headed down there for the day.
We went to the Chaminade, which is where we had Thanksgiving dinner last year.
Apparently it was a black boot kind of day. They were impressed with my arm span for taking a selfie.
After our brunch buffet, we walked around downtown Santa Cruz where we did a little Christmas shopping. We couldn't leave Santa Cruz without a stop at Marianne's.
Tom and the kids went on their own adventure to the California Academy of Sciences and the DeYoung Museum.
