Traveling home from Arkansas on Saturday took 13 hours. The kids did great, but the adults were exhausted. Yesterday, we spent time recovering but we were also a little stressed because our cat, Billie, had gotten out of the house when I was loading up for the airport and she hadn't shown back up. She's a tough old broad, but we were still worried. Thankfully she wandered home last night looking clean and well fed. I'm pretty sure she has a secret family that she cheated on us with during the holiday.
Speaking of pets, my dad's dogs were very tolerant of the kids this time around. Sure, they did some growling now and then, but they warmed right up to them clearly remembering from the summer visit.
Max even let Serafina wrap him up in a blanket like a baby.
Here's Bear riding on my lap on our way to Acorn.
Before we left, we took some pictures with Ito.
