Daddy-o's b-day

Today is Tom's birthday. Leo was very confused why his dad went to work this morning on his birthday. Oh, that poor kid will some day learn that the world doesn't revolve around the day of his birth.

We went out to dinner last night.

Leo must be really concentrating on what he's doing if his tongue is out.

We came home for dessert.  Tom requested this...

It doesn't look like much, but I promise it is spectacular on the inside.  It was a bit labor-intensive, but I wanted the birthday boy to be happy.

Slicing up pure bliss...

Okay, so here's what it is, in case you are interested.  It's a torte made in a springform pan (typically used for cheesecakes).  It has an Oreo cookie crust and then a three-layered fluffy cream cheese, whipped cream filling.  Each layer has a different flavor.  The first is Biscoff, the second Nutella and the top is peanut butter.  The kids only liked the cookie crust.  Tom and I liked the whole thing.
